How can I setup a photo cd to auto play viewing my photos?
There are several ways to make a photo CD or USB drive with AutoRun Wizard. Pick the one that matches how you want people to see the photos.
Option 1: a slideshow video (best viewing experience)
Use the free Photos app in Windows (or any slideshow tool) to make a slideshow with music, export it as an MP4, and autorun the MP4. It plays the same way on every PC.
Option 2: open the photos folder
Put the photos in a folder such as Photos on the disc and use AutoRun Wizard's option to open Windows Explorer to a folder on the disc. The user sees thumbnails of every photo and can open any of them. See opening Windows Explorer to a folder.
Option 3: open the first photo
Autorun the first photo. It opens in the user's default photo viewer (the Photos app on Windows 10 and 11), and the user browses the rest of the folder with the arrow keys.
Option 4: an HTML photo gallery
Make a simple HTML page with thumbnails that link to the full-size photos, and autorun the page. Many photo programs can export a web gallery for you.
Add a splash screen and a sound file in AutoRun Wizard for a personal touch: for example a title photo and a short song while the photos open.
Use JPEG or PNG photos. Large camera originals open slowly from a CD, so resize them to about 1920 pixels wide first. The free AutoRun Wizard shows an RJL Software notice when your autorun closes; registering removes it.
