Why doesn't the autorun popup and run when I place the CD into the drive?
Starting a disc automatically is a Windows feature, not an AutoRun Wizard feature. AutoRun Wizard creates the files Windows looks for (autorun.inf, autorun.exe and autorun.dat); Windows decides what to do with them, and no autorun product from any vendor can override that.
On Windows 10 and 11 this is normal
Modern Windows never starts a CD silently. It shows an AutoPlay notification, and the user clicks Run autorun.exe. If the notification never appears, AutoPlay is usually turned off on that PC, a default such as "Take no action" was chosen, or an employer or school has turned it off by policy. The full walkthrough is in My AutoRun CD does not launch on Windows 10 or 11.
Quick check
Open File Explorer and double-click the CD drive. If your project starts, it is built correctly and every remaining question is a Windows setting on that PC. You cannot guarantee a prompt on every computer, but you can guarantee that double-clicking the drive starts your project.
If double-clicking does not start it either, the files are probably not at the root of the disc. See the full troubleshooting steps.
